Detail from RAF aerial photo of part of the parish of Newland, dated 10th July 1946, ref. 3142, reproduced by permission of the National Monuments Record, English Heritage.

Home Farm, now Ellis Hill Farm, with part of the Coombes to the right.

This view shows Home Farm, now Ellis Hill Farm. Hughes Green is down the lane to the left, while Coles Lane is to the south, with Hill Cottage at their junction.

Ellis Hill Farm fell into disrepair, but was later passed to Keith and Audrey French, who built a new farm-house and now breed pigs. They sell pork and other meats at their farm shop, which is open daily, and there is a monthly Farmers' Market when the stationary steam engine is usually 'in steam', and the collection of commercial vehicles and Marshall-era farm machinery can be seen.
