Unto Thee O God do we give thanks yea unto Thee do we give thanks.

Here lies Edward Ralph Charles Sheldon youngest son of E. R. C. Sheldon of Brailes Warwickshire, died November 26th 1867 aged 38.

In affectionate remembrance of George Franklin aged 22 years, who met with a fatal accident whilst descending Sulham Hill near Reading Sep 4th 1869. This stone was erected by the butchers of Reading as a token of their respect and appreciation of him as a fellow worker. In the midst of life we are in death.
