Here are the few addresses for the detached portion of Wokingham in the 1871 Census. All that part of the parish lying between
the Turnpike Road leading from Reading to London and the Finchampstead Road
commencing at the boundary line near Bear Wood Lodge including cottages in the
Green Lane, Scotch Farm, and cottages near Emm Brook House occupied by C Vialls
Esq., Limmer Hill, the sand pits, tenements belonging to Mrs. Clive occupied by
Edward Heffer and another, Doles Barn and cottages near, New Bottle, Old Bottle
Public House, Randall's Farm, Evendon's Farm, Allwright's Farm, Eastheath Villa,
East Heath Farm and all houses on the North and North West side of the said
Finchampstead Road including the Pin and Bowl Public House, Brook House, and
East Brook House, with that detached part of the Parish near Arborfield Cross.
