This photo, from the Collier Collection, is reproduced by permission of the Museum of English Rural Life. It shows the Swallowfield Road. The farm building on the right is thought to be Mill's Barn, west of the junction with Greensward Lane. The Barn has long since disappeared.

The child in this detail view seems to be pushing a wheelbarrow.
