 Auction - Newlands Estate 1947

Newspaper Article 'Death of J H Simonds', September 1946

The Newlands Estate was still intact in 1947, but the death of John Hayes Simonds resulted in the first Auction sale on 26th August. The whole Sale document has been scanned, and you can follow it page by page, or skip directly to a particular page.  For each Lot, there are more modern photgraphs, mostly taken in 1994 for the Centenary Exhibition.
